Training objectives
  • Develop leadership self-awareness, capacity, and situational agility to improve employee engagement, team productivity, customer value and business outcomes in highly complex and rapidly changing environments. 

  • Expose and align organizational values and learn how to assess and shape organizational culture through aligned structures, policies, and measures towards agile ways of working.

Target audience

Individuals who will benefit from this course include C-suite Executives, senior leadership, VPs, Directors, Managers, Program/Project Managers, Team Leaders, Change Management, and Change Agents. Prerequisites include either our Agile Leadership Foundations course or at least 3 years of recent management or non-hierarchical leadership experience.

Content
  • The Agile Leadership Journey (ALJ) Awareness Workshop is delivered by certified ALJ Guides in four 3.5-hour sessions and is provided virtually in a modular approach to meet your organization’s needs. This ALJ Awareness Workshop will help leaders align, focus, and understand their influence in creating organizational capacity to deliver customer value.

  • Workshop participants learn key context, mindset, behaviors and focus for leaders to operate more effectively in highly complex and rapidly changing environments. This ALJ Awareness workshop explores the personal and organizational context of leadership to shape the organizational culture and enable agile ways of working to improve outcomes.

  • The ALJ Awareness Workshop leverages a real-time visual collaboration platform to fully engage participants in the learning process. It also mixes real-time engagement with offline learning through pre-session videos, reading, and questions to be completed before cohorts meet to discuss with the guide. This provides deeper engagement and learning than typical in-person workshops.

Daniel Gagnon

Daniel Gagnon is an organizational agility advisor, coach, and trainer with close to three decades of diversified project management and IT experience.

 

He is one of two PMI Disciplined Agile Fellows in the world as well as an active member of the DA advisory council; has contributed snippets of thought to 3 books on DA, and trained hundreds of learners around the world at all levels of DA Certification.

​

Over the years, he has thus provided training to more than 2,000 individuals in DA, Scrum, SAFe, an ACP test preparation course, and the Agile Leadership Journey for leaders and executives.

​

His agile coaching and training engagements over the past 10 years have been with diverse clients ranging from the financial sector to public utilities and government entities (Federal, Provincial and Municipal). He has coached at all levels, from executives to teams and individual contributors.

 

Daniel describes himself as a passionate servant leader and ethical disruptor.
